REMINDER upcoming Public Open House Meeting, I49 Lafayette Connector (H004273)

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development invites the Lafayette community to attend a Public Open House for the I-49 Lafayette Connector.

The event will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Lafayette Science Museum located at 433 Jefferson Street. Attendees should use the entrance on East Congress Street.

The November 4, 2021 Public Open House will present the two Alternatives to the 2003 ROD Alternative that will be studied in the Supplemental EIS (SEIS). The findings of the Context Sensitive Solution (CSS) process of 2019 – 2021 will also be presented through a slide-show, exhibits, maps and handouts.

The open-house format will give residents an opportunity to view project materials and to ask questions at their own pace. The Project Team will be available to discuss the presentations and to receive public comments.

Verbal comments can be recorded, and written comments can be submitted at the Comments Station. Comments are encouraged and welcomed throughout the project. However, written comments must be postmarked no later than November 14, 2021, to be included in the Public Open House Transcript. Written comments can also be submitted to the following addresses:

The Open House exhibits will be on display at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center - 200 West Second Street - from Friday, November 5 through Friday, November 14, 2021. Members of the public are encouraged to view the exhibits during that time.
