I-10 EB & WB from Exit 109 (LA 328) to Exit 103 (I-49), Lafayette & St. Martin Parishes, Lane Closures
Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 7:16:22 AM
Both eastbound & westbound directions of I-10, from Exit 103 (I-49) to Exit 109 (LA 328 – Breaux Bridge) will have nightly lane closures between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. beginning Thursday, October 28, until Saturday, November 6, weather permitting.
These closures are necessary to allow crews to install overhead signs and remove temporary concrete barrier rail.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with this lane closure.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays. No detour route is necessary.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in December 2021.
