The paving on Flournoy Lucas Road is now complete. Crews are currently finishing up work on cracked concrete, slopes and signalization  this section is estimated to be finished in five weeks.  The Ellerbe Road section of La 523 is approximately 40% complete. Crews are laying the foundation for the northbound outside lane and once the roadway is completed. The northbound traffic will be placed on the two outside lanes and crews will then begin work on the three inside lanes.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in July 2011. When finished the new roadway will consist of five lanes of concrete paving, which includes four travel lanes and a continuous center turn lane and  curb and gutter drainage system.
