NOW OPEN: LA 588 near Pioneer in West Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 588 NEAR PIONEER HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, LA 588 will be closed 3.9 miles west of LA 17 in West Carroll Parish. This road will remain closed until approximately Thursday, November 4, 2021.
The purpose of this road closure is to allow for the necessary replacement of a cross drain pipe.
PERMIT/DETOUR:
The detour route will be LA 585, LA 2, LA 582, LA 17 and LA 588.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
