I-49 NB Entrance Ramp to I-10 EB, Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closure
Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:55:35 AM
The entrance ramp for I-10 eastbound at I-49 northbound (Exit 1A) will be closed beginning on Friday, October 22 at 11:00 p.m. until Saturday, October 23 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to stripe the roadway.

The detour for traffic will be to utilize the interchange clover leaf ramps by taking Exit 1B (I-10 westbound entrance ramp), Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), and Exit 1A (I-10 eastbound entrance ramp).

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in December 2021.
