UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 789 over Spring Branch, Caddo Parish
UPDATE: DOTD advises motorists that repairs to two bridges on LA 789 in south Caddo Parish are complete and the roadway has been REOPENED. We appreciate your patience during this process.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the LA 789 bridge over Spring Branch in south Caddo Parish is CLOSED.
This bridge is located approximately 3.3 miles south of the intersection with LA 169.
This closure is necessary to allow for emergency maintenance work on the bridge deck. The closure will remain in place until further notice.
Alternate Route: Detour route will be posted.
Permits/Restrictions: Total bridge closure. All vehicles must detour.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
