The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, October 20, work will begin on a $316,490.50 project to install new roadway safety enhancements including high friction surface treatments, permanent signs, and pavement markings within curves along various routes in Lafayette Parish. These routes include West Congress Street near Lagneaux Road, Denais Road, Martin Luther King, Vincent Road, Bonin Road, Heidi Circle, Renaud Drive near Elmira Road, L Provost Road, and Le Violon Road near Landry Road.

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures will be necessary to perform the work in each area; therefore, drivers should expect some delays.

The project is estimated for completion in December 2021.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
