The inside lane of U.S. 190 westbound at the Amite River Bridge will be closed from Wednesday, Feb. 23, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.

In addition, the inside lane of U.S. 190 eastbound at the Amite River Bridge will be closed from Wednesday, February 23, through Friday, Feb. 25, from 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.

The lanes will be closed while crews install guardrails and work on the embankment for the new bridge.

This closure will allow vehicles up to 11 feet wide to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads are still under permit restrictions. Motorists may use I-12 as an alternate route.
