Temporary Closure of Cameron Ferry – Cameron Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the Cameron Ferry will be out of service on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, beginning at 8:00 AM.

The closure is necessary to update the main engine’s software. Ferry service will resume as soon as the updates are complete (exact time unknown), but no later than 3:00 PM.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
