There will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 190 eastbound and westbound at the Amite River Bridge from Monday, Feb. 28, to Thursday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. One lane will be open to traffic at all times.

The closure is being put in place to allow crews to lay asphalt and install guardrail.

This closure will allow vehicles up to 11-feet-wide to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads are still under permit restrictions. Motorists may use I-12 as an alternate route.
