Current work:
The contractor has finished driving piles for the south pier and has begun forming the pier. Thus far, the only work visible to drivers has been the road work on La. 24. Now you will begin to see significant progress on the bridge construction in the coming weeks and months as bridge columns are formed and poured.
Completed work:
Crews have removed the entire old bridge structure. The new drainage work located along La. 3087 (Prospect Street) and La. 24 (Main Street) is complete. The foundation piles for the north pier are completed. Around 27,000 cubic yards of embankment have been placed on La. 24 and La. 3087 to elevate the new roadway to meet the south bridge.
