DOTD announces apparent results of Oct. 20 bid letting

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $46 million at its Oct. 20 public bid opening, according to DOTD Secretary Sherri H. LeBas, P.E.

With a bid of $26,122,049, Nasdi LLC, Waltham, Mass., was the apparent low bidder on the most expensive job let Oct. 20, a project in Orleans Parish calling for demolishing the old I-10 Twin Span Bridge.

The apparent results for other projects are listed below by parish(es), description, contractor and bid:

Orleans – Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on Magazine Street from U.S. 90 Business to Nashville Avenue, Plus Concrete Inc., New Haven, Mich., $6,650,773.

Tangipahoa – Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on La. 22 from La. 445 to the St. Tammany Parish line, Barriere Construction Co. LLC, Franklinton, $1,889,330.95.

District 02 – Pavement striping and related work on various routes in Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles and Terrebonne parishes, Pavement Markings Inc., Mandeville, $3,425,991.88.

District 03 – Pavement striping and related work on various routes in Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, St. Landry, St. Mary and Vermilion parishes, Akca Inc., Plant City, Fla., $1,488,461.

District 05 – Installing centerline rumble strips and related work on various routes in East Carroll, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Union and West Carroll parishes, Highway Graphics Inc., Houston, Texas, $1,764,711.40.

District 58 – Pavement striping and related work on various routes in Caldwell, Catahoula, Concordia, Franklin, LaSalle and Tensas parishes, Highway Technologies Inc., Houston, Texas, $1,693,437.04.
