THE HARVEY BRIDGE IS NOW OPEN

Jefferson Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development provides information on the upcoming 4th Street Bridge closure in Harvey.

The closure that began on April 5 at the 4th Street Bridge (LA 18) has been extended until further notice. This closure was originally anticipated to be opened mid-May, but due to unforeseen repairs has been delayed. This closure is necessary for crews to work on the structural rehabilitation of the moveable deck.

As a detour, drivers can utilize the Harvey Tunnel or US 90 (Westbank Expressway).

The work is estimated at $950,000 and is part of the final phase of the rehabilitation project, which is nearly $7.1 million. The work is being completed by C.E.C., Inc.

DOTD appreciates your patience, and reminds all drivers to travel with caution through work zones.
