BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $27 million at its Sept. 22 public bid opening, according to DOTD Secretary Sherri H. LeBas, P.E.

With a bid of $10,200,184.48, Best-Yet Builders LLC, Shreveport, was the low bidder on the most expensive job let Sept. 22, a project in DeSoto Parish calling for the installation of drainage pipe, asphalt overlay and related work to reconstruct La. 3276 from U.S. 171 to I-49.

Allen – Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on U.S. 165 from 0.6 miles north of Lauderdale Woodyard Road to 1.1 mile south of La. 26, Prairie Contractors Inc., Opelousas, $1,091,517.09.
