** UPDATE Closure Extended- The double Lane closure of LA 42(Highland Rd) from I-10 to Airline Hwy is extended to Monday April, 19 2021. This closure will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM***
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 42 (Highland Rd.) will have a double lane closure from I-10 to Airline Hwy. beginning Friday, April 16, 2021 at 7:00 pm and ending at 5:00 am on Monday, April 19, 2021. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.
The lane closures are necessary to repair Entergy transmission lines.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
