UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 4 bridges over Bee Branch in Bienville Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the replacement of two bridges on LA 4 over Bee Branch in Bienville Parish is now complete and both bridges are OPEN to traffic.

These bridges are located between the villages of Castor and Lucky.

The $2.3 million project began in April 2020 with the removal and replacement of the first bridge, located just east of Bob Neal Road. That bridge was completed and opened to traffic in December 2020.

Both rural bridges were originally built in 1968.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
