BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $20 million at its Aug. 25 public bid opening, according to DOTD Secretary Sherri H. LeBas, P.E.

With a bid of $4,920,183.46, Boh Bros. Construction Co. LLC, New Orleans, was the low bidder on the most expensive job let Aug. 25, a project in Orleans Parish calling for asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on U.S. 90 from South Carrollton Avenue to the west end of the U.S. 90-B/I-10 interchange.

Assumption, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, St. Mary – Replacing pavement markings and related work on U.S. 90 from 3.5 miles east of La. 89 to the St. Martin Parish line; on U.S. 90 from the Lafayette Parish line to the Iberia Parish line; on U.S. 90 from the St. Martin Parish line to the St. Mary Parish line; on U.S. 90 from the Iberia Parish line to the Assumption Parish line; and on U.S. 90 from the St. Mary Parish line to the Terrebonne Parish line, Akca Inc., Plant City, Fla., $1,133,229.80.
