Right-turn lane project on LA 378 at Phillips Road in Calcasieu Parish nearing completion

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the project to install a southbound right-turn lane on LA 378 (Davis Road) at Philips Road in Calcasieu Parish is nearing completion approximately a month of a head of schedule.

The project installed new drainage structures and widened the roadway to accommodate the installation the new turn lane. The new turn lane will help alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow at the signalized intersection. Crews are finishing hydroseeding, and are expected to be complete this week.

The project, which costs $419,180, began in January 2021, and the contractor was John Baily, Inc.
