Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that beginning Monday, April 5, Pecue Lane in East Baton Rouge Parish will be closed to all traffic between the intersections of LA 427 (Perkins Road) and U.S. 61 (Airline Highway). This closure is necessary to allow crews to connect the new detour bridge to Pecue Lane.

While the Pecue overpass is closed, motorists are advised to use LA 42 (Highland Road) and LA 3246 (Siegen Lane) as north and southbound detours to cross I-10. This closure will remain in effect until Friday, May 14, weather permitting.

This work is part of phase II of the Pecue Lane/ I-10 Interchange Project, which is a $13.6 million project that consists of building MSE Walls on both sides of I-10 and replacing the existing two lane bridge with two multi-lane bridges. This is part of a multi-phase interchange project in East Baton Rouge City Parish Government’s Green Light Plan, a transportation improvement program designed to construct road projects throughout the Parish.

Construction on this project began August 2019 and is anticipated to be completed end of 2021, weather dependent.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
