NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held at the Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Harahan, LA, 70181, on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

This Public Hearing will be held in accordance with Act 334 of the 1974 regular session of the Louisiana Legislature and conducted by the Joint Legislative Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to review highway construction priorities for the fiscal year 2008-2009 for the parishes of Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, and Terrebonne, which comprise Highway District 02. 

A copy of the Preliminary Program for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 is available for review by interested persons at the Department of Transportation and Development District 02 Administrator’s office, 1440 US Highway 90, Bridge City, LA, 70094, and also at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Headquarters Building, 1201 Capitol Access Road, Room 200U, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

All interested persons are invited to be present at the above time and place for the purpose of becoming fully acquainted with the proposed program and will be afforded an opportunity to express their views. 

Oral testimony will be received.  However, in order that all persons desiring to make a statement have an equal opportunity to do so, it is requested that every effort be made to complete individual testimony in as short a period of time as possible.  Oral testimony may be supplemented by presenting important facts and documentation in writing.  Your cooperation and assistance will be appreciated.
