US 61 (ST. JAMES PARISH) - There will be a Southbound lane closure on US 61/Airline Highway beginning at 6:00 AM on Monday, March 15, 2021 until 6:00 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021. The right lane between I-10 and HWY 3213 will be closed continuously during this time.

This lane closure is necessary to allow trucks and equipment to safely exit and enter the roadway to and from a work area on the south right of way of US 61 in St. James Parish.

Permit loads over 16' wide should contact the permit office for alternate routes or the contractor listed below.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
