LA 435 (Main St.), NE Quadrant of LA 59/LA 36 Roundabout, and Hickory St. – Full Road Closure – Permit Work – St. Tammany Parish

Closure Detail:

LA 435 (Main St.), Northeast Quadrant of the LA 59/LA 36 Roundabout, and Hickory St. will have full road closures starting Tuesday, April 27, 2021, and ending Thursday, April 29, 2021. These closures will occur 6:00 PM – 5:00 AM nightly, weather permitting. The location starts at LA 59 (Maple St.) and ends at Live Oak St. for LA 435 (Main St.) road closure; and starts at Level St. and ends at North St. for Hickory St. road closure.

Comments:

These closures are for rehabilitating the gravity sewer system within the Town of Abita Springs.

Detour:

Motorist traveling Northbound on LA 59 and continuing Northbound on LA 59 will need to detour to Level St. to Live Oak St. to North St. to LA 59.

Motorists traveling Southbound on LA 59 and continuing Southbound on LA 59 will not need to detour.

Motorists traveling Southbound on LA 59 (Maple St.) and heading to Eastbound LA 435 (Main St.) will need to detour to the LA 59/LA 36 Roundabout to Level St. to LA 435 (Main St.).

Motorists traveling Northbound on LA 59 (Maple St.) and heading to Eastbound LA 435 (Main St.) will need to detour to the LA 59/LA 36 Roundabout to Level St. to LA 435 (Main St.).

Motorists traveling Northbound on LA 59 and heading to Eastbound LA 36 will not need to detour.

Motorists traveling Westbound on LA 36 and heading to Northbound or Southbound LA 59 will need to detour to the LA 59/LA 36 Roundabout to Level St. to Live Oak St. to North St. to LA 59 (Maple St.).

Motorists traveling Westbound on LA 435 (Main St.) will be detoured to Live Oak St. to North St. to LA 59 (Maple St.).

Restrictions:

Only local vehicles will be allowed access to closed areas, and emergency vehicles will not have access. Motorists may encounter moderate to heavy delays during these times.
