LA 77 Gross Tete Bridge over the Intracoastal Canal, Iberville Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the LA 77 Gross Tete Bridge over the Intracoastal Canal will undergo an In-Depth Bridge Inspection from Monday March 8th through Saturday March 13th. One lane closure will be in effect for LA 77 with flaggers from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day.

Bridge will be reduced to one 12’ lane. Please no wide loads.

In addition, periodic full closures – 15-minute maximum duration – will be necessary throughout the week in order to test the electrical and mechanical components of the swing bridge.

The bridge inspection is part of normal processes required to ensure the continued safe operation of the region’s transportation facilities.
