BATON ROUGE, La. – The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that they have adjusted the times of the project to re-stripe Interstate 10 from Siegen Lane to the St. James Parish line. The project had been scheduled from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Saturday but in response to public feedback the hours have been changed to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
The project is expected to finish Oct. 15 and will remove and replace the existing striping and pavement markings along I-10 throughout the project limits that have worn away or become non-reflective. The new striping and raised reflector pavement markings will provide better visibility at night time and during inclement weather. Drivers should use caution when approaching and moving through the work zone.
