Opportunity for public hearing on the proposed interchange at La.1088 and I-12
S.P.N. 700-26-0076
F.A.P.N. HP-12-1 (120) 068
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has completed, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has approved for public review, a draft supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed interchange at La. 1088 and Interstate 12. The proposed interchange would change the existing intersection of La. 1088 and I-12 from and overpass to a full diamond interchange allowing traffic movement in all directions.
An EA was completed in 2001, and the proposed interchange connecting La. 1088 to I-12 in St. Tammany Parish received a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) from the lead federal agency involved, the FHWA. The project was almost fully designed and engineered, but then went though value engineering to reduce cost and the design of the interchange has since changed. The draft supplemental EA assesses the impacts of the changes and updates other pertinent environmental impacts.
The draft supplemental EA is available for public review at the following branches of the St. Tammany Parish Public Library:
