Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:44:55 AM
I-10 westbound from mile marker 117 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) to mile marker 114.5 (LA 347 – Henderson) will have alternating lane closures as follows, weather permitting.

• Thursday, January 28 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, January 29 at 6:00 a.m.

• Friday, January 29 at 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, January 30 at 6:00 a.m.

These closures are required in order to perform maintenance of roadway striping.

There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with these lane closures.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays. No detour route is necessary.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in March 2021.
