LA 42 Widening and Improvements, US 61 Turn Lane Closures, Ascension Parish POSTPONED**

**The below lane closure is postponed to a later date due inclement weather. An announcement will be made when the lane closure is rescheduled.**
Construction is ongoing for State Project H.002370, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of turn lane closures at US 61 (Airline Highway) at LA 42 on Friday, January 22nd, between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. These closures include the southbound double left turn lanes from US 61 to LA 42 and the northbound right turn lane from US 61 to LA 42. The closures are necessary for construction crews to patch the roadway near the intersection.
An alternate route includes accessing LA 42 via LA 73 northbound or LA 427 (Old Perkins Road) to LA 73 southbound.
