The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 111 Asphalt Surface Treatment Project on Monday, January 11, 2021 and will continue for approximately (3) three months. This micro-milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt surface treatment project is located on LA 111 from LA 8 to approximately 450 feet north of the southern intersection with John Keel Loop. This 4.3 mile project will receive asphalt pavement patching, micro-milling asphalt concrete, asphalt surface treatment, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, P.R. Parker Company Inc. in the amount of $543,857.55.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin asphalt pavement patching on Monday, January 11, 2021 and the roadway will be open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
