EXTENDED!! I-10 EB Entrance Ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge), St. Martin Parish, Ramp Closure

UPDATE: The I-10 eastbound entrance ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting.

• Thursday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, January 8 at 1:00 a.m.
• Friday, January 8 at 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, January 9 at 1:00 a.m.


The I-10 eastbound entrance ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed on the following nights, weather permitting.

• Wednesday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, January 7 at 1:00 a.m.
• Thursday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, January 8 at 1:00 a.m.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to construct the inside shoulder of the ramp.

The detour for eastbound traffic is I-10 westbound to Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) then back onto I-10 eastbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in March 2021.
