US 61 SB FROM IRENE RD TO LA 64 LANE CLOSURE

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces upcoming lane closures on US 61 (Airline Hwy), Southbound from Irene Rd to LA 64 (Mt. Pleasant-Zachary Rd.)
One lane will be closed in the Southbound direction from 9:00 AM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 to 4:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2021 and from 7:00 AM Friday, January 8, 2021 to 5:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021. All work is weather permitting.
This lane closure is necessary to install asphalt pavement on US 61.
Motorists may encounter excessive delays during the peak times of this closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
