US 61 SB FROM IRENE RD TO LA 64 LANE CLOSURE

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces upcoming lane closures on US 61, Southbound from Irene Rd to LA 64 (Mt. Pleasant-Zachary Rd.)
One lane will be closed in the Southbound direction from 9:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2020 to 4:00 PM Thursday December 31, 2020. All work is weather permitting.
This lane closure is necessary to facilitate the construction of the US 61 diversion road as part of the Comite River Diversion Project.
Motorists may encounter excessive delays during the peak times of this closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
