Eastbound I-10 at Loyola Drive, in Kenner - All lanes closed Tuesday December 15, 2020 and Wednesday December 16, 2020; from 10:00 PM- 4:00 AM each night, ending at 4 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2020; to hang steel girders.
In advance of the complete closure, the left lane of I-10 east will be closed each night at 7:00 pm
All eastbound I-10 traffic will be detoured to the Loyola Drive exit ramp and continue straight through the Loyola intersection to re-enter eastbound I-10.
The complete closure is necessary to hang steel girders that span over the entire eastbound roadway. The girders are part of the future flyover ramp from I-10 West directly to the airport.
Access to the airport will be maintained.
Alternate routes for I-10 East: I-310 south to US 61 south to Williams Blvd. north to I-10 East.
