UPDATE #1: This closure has been rescheduled to Monday, December 14 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 a.m. & Tuesday, December 15 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.


The I-10 westbound entrance ramp at Exit 109 (Breaux Bridge) will be closed beginning Sunday, December 13 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, December 14 at 6:00 a.m. & Monday, December 14 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to construct the inside shoulder of the ramp.

The detour for westbound traffic is I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 (Henderson) then back onto I-10 westbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in March 2021.
