LANE CLOSURE: I-20 Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg

Update: DOTD advises motorists that all lanes of the I-20 bridge acoss the Mississippi River at Vicksburg have been opened.

Update: DOTD advises motorists that the eastbound lanes of the I-20 bridge across the Mississippi River at Vicksburg will experience lane closures from Monday, February 8, 2021 through Friday, April 30, 2021. The lane closures will be limited to one lane at a time. Both westbound lanes are open to traffic.

Update: DOTD advises motorists that the eastbound lanes of the I-20 bridge across the Mississippi River at Vicksburg will experience lane closures from Monday, February 8, 2021 through Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The lane closures will be limited to one lane at a time. Both westbound lanes will be open to traffic on February 8, 2021 before the eastbound closures.

DOTD advises motorists that the westbound lanes of the I-20 bridge across the Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg will experience lane closures from Monday, December 14, 2020 through Sunday, February 14, 2021.

DOTD advises motorists that the westbound lanes of the I-20 bridge across the Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg will experience lane closures from Monday, December 14, 2020 through Sunday, January 31, 2021. This extended closure will allow contractors to install new lighting and to make additional repairs to the bridge.

DOTD advises motorists that the westbound outside lane of the I-20 bridge across the Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg will experience a lane closure from Monday, December 14, 2020 through Friday, January 15, 2021. This closure will allow contractors to install new lighting on the bridge.

This work is part of an ongoing major rehabilitation project for the I-20 bridge over the Mississippi River, which connects Madison Parish to Vicksburg, MS.

Maximum vehicle width restrictions:

10 foot maximum width with the following exception: 16 foot maximum width Fridays 6 AM to 6 PM.

No formal detours have been established for this work.
