I-10/Picardy Avenue Interchange ribbon-cutting ceremony

BATON ROUGE, La. – DOTD Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. to mark the opening of the I-10/Picardy Avenue Interchange.

  Accompanying Secretary Bradberry will be Baton Rouge Mayor Melvin “Kip” Holden, Rep. William Daniel; Danny Hester, James Construction Inc.; and Todd Denton, general manager for the Mall of Louisiana. 

The I-10/Picardy Avenue Interchange will open to traffic Nov. 2. The project is designed to relieve some of the traffic congestion on Bluebonnet Boulevard and on I-10 between Bluebonnet and Siegen Lane. 

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on the eastbound side of the overpass.  Attendees are asked to park in the parking lot of the Rave Motion Pictures Theater behind the mall on Picardy Avenue Extension. A shuttle bus will provide transportation from the parking lot to the ribbon-cutting site.

In case of rain, the ceremony will take place in the Rave Motion Pictures Theater, 9168T Picardy Ave. Extension, Baton Rouge, La.
