The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is allowing contractors to view the contract proposal for the second phase of the I-10 Twin Span Bridge project one week early.

The department hopes that the extra time contractors have to analyze the proposal and prepare bids will encourage more contractors to submit competitive bids on letting day. The project is scheduled to be let Nov. 15.

The second phase of the I-10 Twin Span Bridge project includes the construction of the high-rise portion of the bridge.

Contractors can access the construction proposal at http://www.dotd.la.gov/cgi-bin/construction.asp. It is the first listing under the “special announcements” drop down menu.
