TRAFFIC PATTERN SHIFT – Well Road Roundabout at I-20 Interchange, Ouachita Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the nearly $5.2 million Well Road (LA 3249) Roundabout project at I-20 in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish is nearing completion, and a traffic shift is required as work progresses.
On Thursday, November 19, 2020, the current traffic configuration will shift to a roundabout pattern for the I-20 westbound on- and off-ramps, as well as the Well Road traffic. This shift will be directed by the recently installed pavement markings and signage.
Remaining work on the project includes the construction of the I-20 westbound off ramp at Exit 112, as well as other incidental work.
Well Road in the vicinity of the interstate services approximately 20,000 vehicles per day, and provides access to a truck stop and other businesses to the south of I-20, as well as US 80 and residential areas to the north.
The entire project is expected to be complete in early 2021, weather permitting.
