DOTD provides update on LA 82 washout in Cameron Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that work on the roadway washout on LA 82 (MM 42) between the Cameron Ferry and Holly Beach is progressing.
Work began on October 16, 2020, and the contractor has completed installation of cross drain pipes and roadway subbase. Crews are preparing to install shoulders, asphalt base and asphalt wearing course. Remaining work is expected to be complete in approximately one week.

Motorists may use LA 27 as a detour route. Ferry service in Cameron Parish remains suspended until repairs are completed.
The roadway was damaged during Hurricane Delta on October 9, 2020.
