BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling over $91 million at its May 31, public bid opening, according to Gov. Kathleen Blanco and DOTD Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry.
With a bid of $28,084,836.81, Denton-James LLC, Baton Rouge, was the apparent low bidder on the state’s most expensive job, a project in Union and Claiborne parishes calling for grading, drainage structures, lime treatment, class II base course, Portland cement concrete pavement, superpave, concrete slab span bridges and related work on U.S. 167 from Lillie to the Arkansas State line.
