DOTD announces update to temporary bridge closures in Acadiana

LAFAYETTE, La. - Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the following Acadiana bridge updates after structures were temporary closed due to potential and post impacts from Hurricane Delta.

ACADIA
• ESTHERWOOD PONTOON – inoperable, due to high water (open to vehicle traffic only)

IBERIA – all open to marine and vehicle traffic
• BAYOU CARLIN - DELCAMBRE BRIDGE
• TECHE BAYOU at NELSON CANAL
• TECHE BAYOU at JEFFERSON STREET
• TECHE BAYOU at DUPERIOR STREET
• TECHE BAYOU at LEWIS STREET
• PATOUT BAYOU WEEKS ISLAND
• TECHE BAYOU at BAYSIDE
• TECHE BAYOU at LOREAUVILLE
• TECHE BAYOU at MORBIHAN

ST. MARY – all open to marine and vehicle traffic
• TECHE BAYOU at ADELINE

VERMILION
• HUMBLE CANAL PONTOON – inoperable, due to high water (open to marine traffic only)
• LITTLE PRAIRIE (OLD ICC) – open to marine and vehicle traffic
• TIGRE BAYOU – inoperable, due to power outage (open to vehicle traffic only)
• VERMILION at ABBEVILLE BYPASS – inoperable, due to power outage (open to vehicle traffic only)
• VERMILION at OLD ABBEVILLE – inoperable, due to power outage (open to vehicle traffic only)
• VERMILION RIVER (PERRY) – inoperable, due to power outage (open to vehicle traffic only)
• VERMILLION RIVER at WOODLAWN BRIDGE – inoperable, due to power outage (open to vehicle traffic only)

DOTD will continue to monitor bridge conditions and will advise of any changes.
