US 51 Northbound and Southbound - Full Road Closure - St. John the Baptist Parish

Closure Details:
US 51 Northbound and Southbound will have a full road closure with a scheduled start of October 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM and a scheduled end of . The location starts at Mile Post - 1 and ends at Mile Post - 8.

UPDATE: ROAD IS NOW CLOSED AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL WATER RECEDES.

There is water on the roadway along the I-55 Service Road (Old US 51 Low Road) near the I-55 on-ramp in Laplace to the I-55 off-ramp in Ruddock. DOTD will continue to monitor this area and will update as necessary.

Detour:
Traffic may use the I-55 High Rise to avoid high water along the Service Road.
