Who:               All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.

Purpose:         The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is conducting a public meeting for the proposed relocation of a portion of La. 1138-2 (West Prien Lake Road) from just west of the Contraband Bayou Bridge to Nelson Road/L’Auberge Boulevard. This project is being proposed in conjunction with the City of Lake Charles, with the Federal Highway Administration as lead federal agency. A separate future plan for replacing the existing bridge across Contraband Bayou along with the widening of La. 1138-2 eastward from the bridge to Lake Street also will be considered.

Following the presentation, representatives of DOTD will be available to receive comments and answer questions related to this project.

Written statements can be submitted at the public meeting or may be mailed to the address shown below, postmarked within ten (10) days following the meeting.
