Who: All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
Purpose: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will conduct an open-house format public meeting for the above referenced project. DOTD proposes to develop a connector route between Louisiana Highway 1 (La. 1) and Interstate Highway 10 (I-10) west of the Mississippi River in West Baton Rouge Parish. The connector will include an additional crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW).An environmental assessment (EA) will be completed for this project. The purpose of this public meeting is to introduce the proposed project to the public and to solicit comments about the project from the public and other interested parties. The meeting will include a brief, continuously running presentation that describes the project study area, the project planning process, and schedule for completing the EA. Comments and suggestions will be invited from all interested parties to help ensure that the study team addresses the full range of environmental issues during the EA study process.
Representatives of the DOTD and the project team will be present to provide information relative to the general location and design features of the roadway.
