NOW OPEN LA 336-1 (E. Bridge St.) at the bridge over the Bayou Teche, St. Martin Parish, Bridge Closure

UPDATE: Due to Hurricane Delta and the threat of severe weather, this closure has been rescheduled for Monday, October 19 at 5:00 a.m. until Sunday, July 25, 2021. Thank you for your patience.


LA 336-1 (East Bridge Street) at the bridge over the Bayou Teche will be closed from Monday, October 12 at 5:00 a.m. until Sunday, July 18, 2021. This is approximately 40 weeks.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform required structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs, as well as clean and repaint the bridge as part of a large bridge rehabilitation project.

The road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the rehabilitation project, and emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

Detour routes will be posted and include the following:

The detour for eastbound traffic will consist of LA 336-1 (W. Bridge Street), west to LA 31 (Berard Street), north to LA 94 (East Mills Avenue), east to LA 328 (Rees Street), and south to LA 336-1 (E. Bridge Street).

The detour for westbound traffic will consist of LA 328 (Rees Street), north to LA 94 (E. Mills Avenue), west to LA 31 (Berard Street), and south to LA 336-1 (W. Bridge Street).
