LA 1247: LA 1 - LA 1010, Road Closure, Assumption Parish *Work Postponed*

Construction has begun for State Project H.013786 LA 1247: LA 1 -LA 1010 Assumption Parish for a length of 1.474 miles. The type of work is drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of an upcoming road closure at Gum St. and LA 1247 (Brule Rd.) intersection. Due to weather this closure has been postponed. This closure will begin 6:00 am Saturday September 19, 2020 Saturday September 26, 2020 and end by 6:00 pm Saturday September 19, 2020 Saturday September 26, 2020 in a spot location at Gum St crossing LA 1247 (Brule Rd), weather permitting. This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to install a cross drain under LA 1247 (Brule Rd.). A suggested alternate route would be LA 398 to LA 1010 to access LA 1247.
