I-10 EB at I-49, Lafayette Parish, Intermittent Ramp Closure
Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 4:04:06 PM
The on ramp of I-10 eastbound at I-49 will be closed intermittently on the nights of Sunday, August 23 at 8 p.m. until Monday, August 24 at 6 a.m. and Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, August 25 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to move temporary barriers and re-stripe the ramp prior to swapping traffic.

The detour for traffic will be utilizing the clover leaf by taking I-49 north to the I-10 westbound on ramp, west to the US 167 southbound off ramp, and south to the I-10 eastbound on ramp to enter onto I-10 eastbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
