I-10 EB from MM 103 (I-49) to MM 104 (Vermilion River), Lafayette Parish, Lane Closure
Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 3:52:59 PM

The outside lane of I-10 eastbound from mile marker 103 (I-49) to mile marker 104 (Vermillion River) will be closed on Sunday, August 23 at 8 p.m. until Monday, August 24 at 6 a.m. and Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, August 25 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to swap traffic on the I-49 and Louisiana Avenue entrance and exit ramps.

The road will be open to regular traffic with no vehicle restrictions.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays. No detour.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in September 2020.
