DOTD announces results of June 1, 2005, bid letting

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling over $13 million at its June 1 public bid opening, according to Governor Kathleen Blanco and DOTD Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry.

With a bid of $13,230,165.10, Gilchrist Construction Co. LLC, Alexandria, was the apparent low bidder on the state’s only job, a project in LaSalle Parish calling for grading, drainage structures, cold planing asphaltic concrete pavement, class II base course, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, Portland cement concrete pavement, precast-prestressed concrete girder spans bridge and related work on U.S. 165 from Tullos to Olla.
