The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is conducting an Open House Meeting on the proposed widening of the Huey P. Long Bridge on US 90 in Jefferson Parish at the following date, time and location:

 Monday, April 18, 2005

4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Open House Meeting is to provide information on the proposed project and obtain input on the project.  An Environmental Assessment has been prepared for this project and is available for review or purchase at the DOTD District 02 office located at 1440 U.S. 90 in Bridge City.  Copies of the document are also available at the Old Metairie, Harahan, Westwego, Jane O’Brien Chatelain (West Bank) and New Orleans Public, and the main branch libraries.

Interested parties and their representatives are invited and encouraged to attend.  At the Open House, representatives of DOTD will be available to receive comments and answer questions related to the project.  Verbal comments may be recorded at the Open House.  Written statements can be submitted at the Open House or may be mailed to the address shown below, postmarked within ten (10) days following the Open House.
