LA 3125: Improvements at LA 642 Lane Closure, St. James Parish

Construction has begun for State Project H.012075 LA 3125: Improvements at LA 642 for a length of 0.568 miles. The type of work is grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, lime treatment, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, loop detectors and related work at a cost of $1,061,777.00.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the westbound LA 3125 right turn lane onto northbound LA 642 will be closed beginning Tuesday, July 7th. Motorist can access LA 642 north by making the right hand turn at the lighted intersection. This closure is expected to last the entirety of the week, weather permitting, as crews remove and replace existing drainage pipe under the roadway.
No emergency vehicles or permit/oversize loads will be able to pass.
